Greetings students! I look forward to meeting each of you. I love teaching ESL at Irvine Valley College and meeting students from all over the world. My students enrich my life and bring so much of themselves and their cultures to the classroom. My first teaching experience was in Spain where I learned the joy of working with students from cultures different than my own. Since that time in Spain, I have been passionate about working with students from other cultures and helping them to acquire English as a Second Language and become comfortable living here in the United States. I have always said that my classes are like a mini United Nations. We share our differences and our similarities and learn from one another. Each semester, I look forward to sharing my knowledge of English with its endless idioms and introducing American customs and institutions so that students can feel comfortable and be successful in a new culture. My classes are lively and engaging with lots of discussion and interaction among students. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you.
