Learning a language takes time and commitment but it is a very rewarding and enjoyable process. Whether you take French at IVC and you want to immerse yourself in French outside the class or you just want to learn French on your own, here are a few ideas followed by some useful websites. Listen to music you like in French, watch movies, use free resources online to practice your listening-comprehension, your vocabulary and your grammar, join a meet-up French group, go to local French cafes and French/Francophone events where you can run into and talk to native French speakers, look for an exchange or work abroad program in a French speaking country, subscribe to a French magazine and, most importantly, commit a little time to French every day.
