How do I Get Started?
Once enrolled in one of these courses, you must then log-on to the blackboard site: https://socccd.blackboard.com
After selecting your KNES 3 section on Blackboard, click on "Content/Lecture Modules", then click on "Module 1".
- 1. Print off all 3 pages of "Required Paperwork", fill them out and turn them into the LFC staff in room PE 110.
- 2. Read the KNES 3 Syllabus
- 3. Read the Policies and Rules PowerPoint.
*After completing all three steps, you may start exercising in the center at your convenience during normal open hours.
How do I Check In/Out?
To ensure your hours are tracked for attendance purposes, and to get access into the LFC, you will check in and out for each workout session using the SARS terminal near the entrance of the center. To check in and out, you will need a valid IVC card. You can get an ID card at Campus Police (CP100) M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*If you forget to log out, SARS will delete your check-in at the end of the day and you will receive no credit for that session.
Is there a Minimum and Maximum Time?
Each time you use the center, you must exercise for at least 30 minutes to receive credit for that workout. As for maximum, you can only accrue up to 3 hours per day. This is to ensure that you get the most of your workouts and don't over train.
What do I bring and wear?
Each time you use the center, you must wear appropriated workout attire including athletic shoes, bring your IVC ID card, and bring your own towel to use while training.
