ESL Tutoring

Student Success CenterIf you are enrolled in a current ESL class or are taking a college course and need English language assistance, you can receive individual one-on-one tutoring in the Student Success Center for free. Tutoring sessions are 30 minutes to 1 hour long (once a week). This is a great opportunity for you to get individual help with your homework and/or help with conversation, grammar, reading, and writing. Tutors can also help you with BlackBoard, MySite, basic computer skills, writing essays, and a whole lot more - you can even practice informal conversation! We recommend that you take advantage of this wonderful opportunity every semester. It's free!

For more information, go to the Student Success Center in BSTIC 110, check out the Student Success Center's website, or ask one of your ESL professors.

I like to go to the SSC to ask for help with the computers and with my ESL assignments. The tutors have taught me how to format my papers and go on the internet. My English is better after working with the tutors. They are all very nice at the SSC

I really appreciate that my ESL instructor recommended the “tutoring program”. It is very useful to me. My tutortutors me in grammar, writing revision, and pronunciation. He focuses on my questions, so I ask many questions. He explains them veryclearly until I could understand.
